Crosby Products has recently determined that a series of 6.50t shackles that may pose a safety risk. Specifically, any 6.50t shackles with the Production Identification Code of 5VJ are affected. Due to a undetected defect, the ultimate load capacity on these shackles my be lower than what the published values are. Due to the severity of the situation, you are encouraged to check any Crosby Products shackles that you may have and verify them against the list of affected products list below:
